We walked from the Sé Cathedral to the miradouros, where we shone as a happy family under the warm Portuguese sun. It was late October, right in the middle of the day. The temperature was still around 20 degrees, and the sun was strong enough to make us squint. Nelson had the great idea to head down into the alleys of Alfama to find charming and more shaded spots for photos.
The photo session was relaxed and enjoyable. Nelson made sure we felt comfortable. The kids were running around joyfully, and Nelson was able to capture those spontaneous moments of joy, curiosity, and affection—resulting in natural and heartwarming images. What we really appreciated was that Nelson didn’t stick rigidly to the 30 minutes, making the experience feel even more special.

We received the photos via a link in our inbox within 48 hours. Nelson had made a careful selection of 25 beautiful shots. We decided to request 25 more photos from Nelson, and he curated another great selection. We had the link to our extra images in our inbox by the next day.
