The Avenida Fontes Pereira, almost 1 kilometer or .6 miles, is the important avenue for the transit of cars in the city.
This avenue runs from Praça Marquês de Pombal to Praça Duque de Saldanha.
Striking street art
So why is this avenida so interesting? Well, halfway through the avenue you’ll come across three dilapidated buildings with the most outrageous street art on them.
This is a project that started in 2010, the Crono project. Famous street artists from across the world have worked together on this project, like the Brazilian twins Os Gémeos, the Italian Blu and Eric Il Cane and the Spaniard SAM3.
If you’re familiar with the artists from the scene then these names will most likely be very familiar to you.
When you take the aerobus from the airport. make sure you’re on the left to take a look at the beautiful street art.
