Parque Eduardo VII might not be the most spectacular park in Lisbon, but the view that the park offers definitely makes it worthwhile to go here. The park is located on a slope and sports some beautiful views over the Baixa and the Tagus river. In clear weather you can see very far.
he park is well maintained and has lots of green and benches to sit on. Once in the park you are within walking distance of the warehouse El Corte Ingles, which is also worth a visit if you’re in for a shop-stop.
Greenhouses in the park
In the park, Estufa Fria is probably the biggest attraction. This is a greenhouse garden in the western corner of the park. There are three large greenhouses in total: Estufa Fria, an unheated conservatory, Estufa Quente, a greenhouse with tropical plants and Estufa Doce, the smallest of the three with mainly cacti and succulents.
If you want to escape the bustle of the city with your children then this park is a good option. In addition to being able to run up and down the slope, there is also a playground. At the playground there are a few picnic tables.
